Public toilets in Llandrindod Wells have been closed for the foreseeable future following repeated vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
Llandrindod Wells Town Council said Station Crescent toilets had been made unsafe for use after a further spate of damage to the facilities.
The council said the toilets will remain closed until those responsible come forward or are identified and reparation takes place.
Photographs shared by the council shows what appears to be damage caused by a firework, the remnants of a fire, and a broken baby changing unit.
The council said the vandalism was costing taxpayers money and putting people with mobility issues who rely on the facilities at risk.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the council said: "Once again, we have had a spate of mindless vandalism and anti-social behaviour within the Station Crescent Toilets.
"It is now time for people to come forward and take responsibility for their actions, which are not only causing significant cost to you as Council Tax payers, but danger to anyone with mobility issues who use the toilets.
"Sadly, we have made the decision to close these toilets for the foreseeable future until the culprits come forward or are identified and reparation takes place."
The work, completed earlier this year, included a new roof and redesigned layout featuring a Changing Places Unit, with a hoist and specialist equipment for people with disabilities and complex medical needs.
Llandrindod Wells was the first town in Wales to include such a unit within a council-run public toilet block.
The facility was officially reopened in April, with contractor Danfo UK Ltd taking on its management and employing local cleaners.

However, by the summer, the council had already reported problems with vandalism.
At the time, it said cleaning contractors were finding damage on a daily basis and that incidents were believed to be happening between the after-school period and early evening. The council said the vandalism had been reported to Dyfed-Powys Police and warned that continued damage could force it to discuss the future of the toilets.
