An eight-year-old from Llyswen has raised money for Cancer Research in memory of her great uncle.
Lottie Gittoes raised a phenomenal £1,385 for Cancer Research by challenging herself to take part in Cardiff’s Race for Life on May 3.
Her goal was to raise money for a very worthy cause by stepping out of her comfort zone with a running challenge. Her family and friends are very proud of her for raising such an incredible amount and completing the challenge.
In 2021, Lottie’s great uncle sadly passed away from cancer. Her great grandparents have also suffered from the disease, and Lottie is passionate about supporting the charity.
Lottie finds running difficult, so the event itself was a big challenge for her, but she trained well and enjoyed the experience on the day.
Next year, Lottie would love to raise money for either Macmillan or Cancer Research by taking on a new and different challenge.
