BRITISH artist Warren Storey (1924-2008) painted prolifically and exhibited extensively during his lifetime. His work was shown in many UK venues over the years, including at the Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal West Academy, and also abroad, and is held in several public collections as well as private ones.
This retrospective exhibition, marking the 10th anniversary of his death, will be held at the Oriel CRiC Studio in Crickhowell and will provide an exciting opportunity for the public to see some of his work for the first time since the RWA autumn exhibition in 2008. The exhibition will include examples of his portraits, Welsh landscapes and abstracts across different mediums.
In addition to the 34 hung exhibits there will be a number of folders available for perusal in the gallery containing photographs of Storey’s self-portraits, some of his early work, Christmas cards, programmes and poster designs.
The exhibition will be at the Oriel CRiC Studio from August 4th to the 11th opening times are 10am to 4pm.
