Trecastle YFC members are celebrating a successful tug of war season after the club’s junior team were crowned national champions at the National Tug of War Finals.

The competition was held at Tenbury Show on August 1, with guest members from across Powys joining the Trecastle teams.

The men’s team also finished third, following a strong season for the club’s men’s, ladies’ and junior teams.

All three teams won their categories at Rally Day before heading to the Royal Welsh Show, where the juniors and men took first place and the ladies finished second.

The men’s team also secured a seventh consecutive Royal Welsh Show title.

The club said the success was down to the hard work and commitment of members and coaches.
