FORMER Olympic silver medal-winning hurdler Colin Jackson will be attending a dinner to celebrate Brecon Athletic Club’s 50th anniversary.

Colin Jackson competed for Brecon AC for much of his career, during which he won multiple titles and broke the world record for 110m hurdles.

The dinner to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the club’s formation in 1968 is being held at The Manor Hotel in Crickhowell on May 27.

It is hoped that other athletes who have gone on to GB selection will also be there although it is likely that the journey from the Isle of Lewis will prevent triples Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Kirsty Wade from attending.

Any former members who would like to attend should contact the club asap via [email protected] and a place can be reserved for them.

The dinner will be accompanied by a few short speeches and photos and videos from the club archive as well as a quiz and activities for the children present.
