FIVE goals, a penalty save and a sending off was only part of the action in this lively Kington Town Reserves Herefordshire League Premier Division encounter against Tenbury United.

Kington’s Callum Davies opened the scoring but Tenbury United quickly equalised through Mike Foster. Fourth placed Kington missed numerous chances and almost paid the price as Tenbury United forward Mark Boucker missed a good opportunity after rounding the keeper and hitting the side netting just before half time.

Nick Evans scrambled home a goal for the home team early in the second half which was added to when substitute Dan Stack headed the home team 3-1 up. Kington goalkeeper Adam Jones kept the two-goal lead when he saved a penalty taken by Tenbury United’s Aaron Morris in the 80th minute.

A lively last ten minutes saw Kington goalscorer Dan Stack sent off for his second yellow card offence and Tenbury United’s Ryan Morris score the second for the visitors to make it a nailbiting end but Kington held on to take the points.
