The eagerly anticipated annual match between the Senior Men and Cradoc Ladies took place recently.

Places on the teams are highly competitive, as this is one of the most enjoyable and popular fixtures in the golfing calendar.

The Ladies’ Captain and Vice-Captain, Diane Davies and Janet Watkins, teed off first against Seniors’ Captain and Vice, Geoff Williams and John Ingham, setting the tone for the rest of the matches. Seven teams of four players competed in a 4BBB format, with plenty of banter and strong competition throughout.

Despite the heat, the standard of golf was exceptionally high. On this occasion, the Ladies secured a convincing win, taking 5.5 matches to the Men’s 1.5. Congratulations to the Ladies! Geoff Williams very sportingly presented the cup to Diane Davies.

The event concluded with a meal at the golf club and a lively social gathering—another successful highlight of this year’s golf diary.
