Cradoc Golf Club is marking its 50th anniversary with a series of special events, including a lively and memorable evening on Friday, May 9, that brought together members and visitors to celebrate five decades of golf and community.

The sold-out event saw the clubhouse buzzing with excitement as guests enjoyed fine food, laughter, and entertainment. The guest of honour was none other than Owen Money, renowned broadcaster on BBC Radio Wales and pantomime star, who kept the crowd entertained with his wit and charm.

The night began with a delicious meal catered by Kelly’s Kitchen, the club’s in-house dining venue, praised so highly that Owen himself mentioned it on his radio show the following day. As glasses were topped up, the atmosphere grew and set the stage for Owen’s performance.

Taking to the floor, Owen captivated the audience with hilarious stories and sharp jokes, keeping the clubhouse roaring with laughter throughout the evening. His lively presence and banter created a warm, vibrant atmosphere - just the kind of energy the club hopes to foster every day.

Following his performance, Owen gave Cradoc a shoutout on his radio programme, expressing his delight at the reception and even signing up for a round of golf during the club’s upcoming Invitation Day.
