Community groups, charities and organisations in and around Brecon are being invited to apply for grants of up to £500 through a new round of the Brecon Rotary Community Chest scheme.
The application window is between Saturday, October 10 and Friday, October 30.
The scheme aims to support small-scale projects and activities which benefit the local community.
Brecon Rotary said it was particularly interested in projects where a relatively small amount of funding could make a meaningful difference.
Applicants will need to explain what the money would be used for, who would benefit and the difference the project would make.
A Rotary spokesperson said: “Local voluntary and community organisations do a huge amount to support people in and around Brecon. Through the Community Chest, we want to help turn good local ideas into practical projects. We encourage groups to tell us clearly what they would like to do, who will benefit and the difference a grant of up to £500 could make.”
Applications will be considered after the closing date, with successful applicants expected to be notified by mid-December.
The Community Chest is open to a wide range of local groups and organisations, provided their proposed project meets the scheme’s criteria and responds to a community need.
Application forms and further information are available through the Brecon Rotary website: www.breconrotary.com/community/small-grant-scheme.html
Groups interested in applying are being encouraged to submit their applications before the October 30 deadline and share details of the scheme with other organisations which could benefit.
Brecon Rotary is part of Rotary International, a global network of volunteers working to support communities and charitable causes. The local club meets at 6:30pm on Mondays.
