The Hay-on-Wye community is invited to a special open evening at their local fire station on Monday, March 16.
During the evening, attendees can meet the crew, explore the station, and take part in a free First Aid training session.
The event, hosted by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS), will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Hay-on-Wye Fire Station on Brecon Road. Visitors will have the chance to learn life-saving skills, including how to use a public access bleed control kit, and gain practical advice that could make a real difference in an emergency.
Those interested in joining the fire service can also speak directly with On-Call Firefighters about recruitment, training pathways, and the commitment involved. MAWWFRS hopes the event will encourage more members of the community to consider supporting local safety and resilience.
No prior experience is required, and the open evening is free and open to all.
