Brecon Phoenix Amateur Boxing Club is preparing to host its first boxing show in the town, with up to 14 bouts planned for the Market Hall on Saturday, November 7.

The event, titled ‘The Phoenix Fight Night’, will feature around 10 bouts involving local boxers aged between 11 and 26, with doors opening at 6.30pm ahead of the first bell at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for under-16s, with tickets available from the club in advance. A limited number will also be available on the door, although advance booking is recommended to guarantee entry.

The show comes after a busy start to the season for Brecon Phoenix ABC, which has had five boxers competing at shows across South Wales.

Charlie Symons has secured the club's only win so far this season, but the club said all its boxers had acquitted themselves well in the ring.

Among those gaining valuable experience is Caleb Wilden, described by the club as its youngest boxer, who has already had two bouts this season.

The early fixtures have provided useful preparation ahead of the home show, which will give local supporters the chance to watch the club's boxers compete in front of their own crowd.

Brecon Phoenix ABC thanked its main sponsors, JayJays, for their support so far and is seeking additional bout sponsors to help fund the event.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a bout or finding out more about the show can contact Brecon Phoenix Boxing Club through its Facebook page or Dave Gilbert on 07969 201246.

Tickets are available from the club ahead of the November 7 event at Brecon Market Hall.
